The Information Management Technician II provides technical and administrative support for records and information service in a law enforcement environment. The position involves data maintenance and data retrieval from law enforcement databases and requires a high level of accuracy, confidentiality and independence. The incumbent will respond to information requests through established procedures and delivery systems and collect and maintain statistical data; provide workflow coordination, guidance and or direction to new employees and other staff. Similarly, the incumbent will adhere to the compliance of information management policies, legislation and access to information; oversee the operations of divisional equipment and perform other related duties as required.
Screening Criteria
- Diploma in Office Administration, Business Administration, Records Management, Information Technology, Criminology, or Paralegal studies. (equivalencies will be considered)
- Experience with records and information management practices and procedures
- Experience with records management systems (asset)
- Experience working with the judicial system (asset)
