Potential Accommodations Throughout the Recruitment Process
The Public Service Commission of Newfoundland and Labrador strives to provide an inclusive recruitment experience. Please provide as much notice as possible, so a Selection Board Chair can evaluate your request.
Below are examples of accommodations that may be considered throughout the recruitment process:
- Interview questions supplied at the time of interview
- Assessment materials in alternate formats
- Presence of an attendant, personal support worker or service animal
- Additional time for interviews or written exercises
- Adjustment of interview method such as: in person, telephone, or virtual
- Referencing prior written notes as speaking prompts
- Interview space adjustment such as: alternate lighting or a larger space
- Use of personal ergonomic equipment such as accessible mouse or keyboard
- Closeness to accessible washroom or frequent/sudden washroom breaks
Please note that all accommodation requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis to determine feasibility based on the position being recruited.
